Feeling sick as it is but now feeling worse just seeing if anyone knows if I can use a hot water bottle at all?? Not hot like warm to help with pain if not any suggestions?! (been told to avoid paracetamol atm as my liver have been weird due to a much earlier infection)

Yes, you can use a hot water bottle. Keep yourself hydrated - have some dioralyte or a sports drink, or search for a home rehydration recipe. Hope you feel better soon.

Nice warm bath!!! LOTS OF WATER, lots of sleep and keep wrapped up, eat some sturdy food that's healthy and will agree with you, can't go wrong with things like chicken, pasta , rice etc, stay away from things that will irritate your belly further xx

All sounds perfectly normal!! - I had sickness from the get go which luckily eased up and stopped by week 12/13. Did have some diarrhoea too and crampy/wind pains a LOT. couple of things that I found helped - green grapes, flat coke/pepsi (has to be flat so as not to bloat or add bubbly painful gas to the mix). there has been some research done on flat pop for tummy pain/wind - if there is one thing I will swear by during pregnancy it is flat pop!

-it stopped wind/constipation

  • made it easier to pass stools
  • generally made me feel better

there were a few times I stopped drinking it and I would be in so much pain and would go days and days without passing wind/poo.

obviously the NHS tell you not to have any caffeine/limit it to 120 mgs a day - a can only has 30mg.

Also - if you struggle with wind/constipation in the future and don't want to drink any coke/fizzy drinks please please invest in some lactulose (basically glucose & sucralose syrup taken orally).
