Need reassurance- pregnancy test lines

Found out a couple of days ago I'm pregnant for the first time! So of course, I'm worried about everything 🙈
I took a frer yesterday about 5PM (top one) and one again today 5PM (bottoms one) and I dont think the line is darker today? Should it be in just 1 day?

Also I'm having sometimes dull, sometimes painful cramps. Notice that when I lay down and rest for a bit the cramps ease up loads ... is this normal?? Am I doing too much? My job is quite physical and im on my feet most of the day.

Any reassurance or advice would be extremely welcome!

Congratulations! Hcg can take over 48 hours to double so you might not see the line getting dark for a few days. Maybe try again tomorrow or Saturday?

Congratulations!

Cramps are normal - Things will be happening in there already.

You might find darker lines if you test in the morning with a wee you’ve held all night, but won’t necessarily get very dark very quick if your an early tester before your period is due as the little amount of HCG takes a few days to build up as it doubles every 48 hours.

How late is your period?

biscuit13 · 27/02/2020 17:45

@Quiffy thankyou, I'll try and give tomorrow a miss and test saturday.

@Keyboard91 ok that's good to know, I've actually found that in the morning the line was super faint, and more visible in the afternoon. Tested this morning expecting it to be darker and I could barely see it at all, hence why i was panicking and tested again this afternoon. Haha. My period was due between yesterday and tomorrow so I'll try and relax a bit and wait until saturday. I was worried that it might mean the pregnancy wont last if it's so faint.

Test with first morning wee.

Id leave it a few days too

You’re still very early, just take a day - I know it’s impossible to wait to re test and then try again, but if there is a line, you’re pregnant. It should get darker within a couple of days.
Cramps can be very normal, I’m 7 weeks and they really stress me out but I think it’s a normal part of early pregnancy. Congratulations

You're better to try and wait 2-3 days before retesting if you want to see a real difference, easier said than done I know.
It can also get darker and lighter at random just depending on how diluted it is so you can drive yourself mad doing too many tests.

I had a lot of cramps in the early days too....for weeks it felt like AF was coming but she never did. I'm 16 weeks now
