Imagine you have a toddler 😂 I’m 37 weeks & for the last two have had awful nights sleep. No matter how I lay, how many cushions I use, I’m in pain somewhere. And when I do eventually fall asleep, I wake up an hour later & could cry in pain again. I tend to go to bed at 11pm. Nod off anywhere from 12-2am, wake constantly and my Fitbit suggests I’m getting about 3 hours a night Confused

But I have a toddler. Come 7am, she’s bounding into the bedroom to say good morning & on the days it’s just me & her, I have to get up and parent. My OH is a big help on the weekends but I don’t much go back to sleep as shes not exactly quiet when playing & running around!

Just get yourself up. Go to bed a sensible time & get up at one. It’s entirely down to your willpower! If you don’t work or are on maternity leave, I’d suggest no later than 9am. Yep, you’ll feel tired but the more consistently you do it, the easier you’ll find it to drop off at bedtime & probably sleep better through the night. If you need a nap in the afternoon, have a power one Smile

Yep 36 weeks - and it’s been a good 7/8 weeks since I have managed to sleep more than about half hour to 45 mins at a time without waking in pain due to hips hurting or baby kicking or needing a wee. I often end up getting up with DC1 to get her to school then coming home and at some point during the day napping for 2/3 hours.

Yea am exactly the same. I depend on a nap during the day as only get a 3-4 hours. Once school runs done I'm on the sofa till 2. And I feel alot better! If I dont take a nap doing diner a 5 is a stretch as am exhausted!
