Disappearing bump!

Been around here with my moans for a while but looking for some comfort. My bump seemed to be getting bigger and bigger up to 13 weeks and since then it's got smaller and is now at 14+4 none existent. Had scans at 8 and 12 weeks and all was fine, no bleeding or pains or anything so trying to think positive. Pregnancy after loss is so bloody hard 😓

Just realised I didn't actually write a question then and was wittering instead. Is this normal, anyone lost their bump this point in?

You probably lost the bloating.
Also if you might have suffered from nausea it could be you lost some weight too.

I wouldn't worry, size of bump especially at this stage is so different for every woman.

BecauseReasons · 27/02/2020 12:20

Agreed, probably just less bloated. Many women don't have a bump at all this early on.

BabyB19 · 27/02/2020 12:20

I've had no sickness at all just nausea and diet is fairly steady. I'll add a pic of bump as it was a big old bump! Can it really go down that much? As it's flat again now?

Yes - I have posted about this before! Someone else queried it.

I steadily got bigger (more bloated) up until maybe 13/14 weeks, then suddenly the bloat went (hurray) and the proper baby bump started to grow gradually.

If its your first, you may not get a proper baby bump for a while yet, mine is third and 'proper' bump probably appeared around 19/20wks?

Congratulations x

To put it in perspective, at 14 weeks the baby is about 8cm long! and skinny, so it wouldn't really create a bump yet :) Its still really low down in your pelvis

I had the uber-bloat until this week (I'll be 14 weeks on Monday). I honestly looked full-term, which was kind of freaky.

Now it's calmed down and my stomach is back to how it was before pregnancy.

erised · 27/02/2020 13:27

I looked more pregnant at 10 weeks than I do now at almost 20 weeks. Don't underestimate the bloating!

Splitsunrise · 27/02/2020 13:29

Yes normal, it was bloating bump not baby!

BabyB19 · 27/02/2020 14:08

Thank you all for putting my mind at rest. It's just a shock when you have this massive bump and then all of a sudden it's gone! 💙💗

It’ll be back don’t worry!!!

Thank you @flissity I know I'll be sorry when I'm the size of a house 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️
