Baby Movement

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with fetal distress and how that presented itself?

I had an antenatal appointment this morning and was not feeling well before hand. I then was really dizzy and faint during the appointment so they told me to stay at home for the day.

Ever since I left the appointment my baby hasn't stopped moving frequently and quite harshly. My baby doesn't usually move at this time of the day and certainly not keeping it up like this.

I'm starting to get slightly worried that this may be a sign of fetal distress but am aware I'm probably stressing myself for no reason.

Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You need to phone the midwife. That's what they're there for and they will be the first ones to tell you that, so don't feel like you're being silly or whatever. And try not to worry in the meantime.

I think you need to phone triage. Nobody here can advise you any differently - vastly increased movements should be checked.
