Any expecting mums due early November? I am! :D

I rung the maternity unit at my local hospital once i'd found out, and they kindly explained that i'll recieve a letter in the post to confirm my first appointment (where i'll meet with the midwife, do bloods and go through Q&A's)

Just wondered when everyone got their letters through? I know the scan isn't until approx 12 weeks but i know members of my family were seen for their first meeting within 6-8 weeks? Anyones experience with this? xx

Congratulations!
My first pregnancy I was seen at about 8w and second about 10.5w. They should arrange your scan within the required timeframes regardless of when the appointment is. The appointment is quite long and boring, just lots of medical history and admin details, no examinations or anything so it doesn't really matter when they see you.

Hi the process with my booking was slightly different as I booked direct at my doctor's surgery. They said appointment should be between 8-10 weeks. I'm having mine at what I think is 9 weeks. Hope this helps :)

In my area we self refer to the community midwives online, they sent that first letter about a week after my referral email was sent and my booking appointment was at 8+5 weeks I think. I just remember how slow it all felt back then! I’m now 16w and it’s definitely speeding up now
