Worried about muscle strain

Hi all, I wondered if anyone could help put my mind at rest. I’m 27 weeks with my second baby and last night my 2 year old fell asleep on her bedroom floor (toddlers!) Without thinking I bent down to pick her up, and as I stood up and turned I felt a straining/almost ripping sensation across the top of my bump. I sat down immediately on a chair and for the rest of the night just had a bit of an aching sensation down the side of my bump. After googling to see if there’s anything I should do, I read about placental abruption caused by lifting and now I’m panicking! I don’t seem to be in any pain this morning, haven’t had any bleeding and baby has been moving. Has anyone else done anything silly like this and been fine? I’ll definitely think before lifting from now on!

We're bumping this for you and hope someone will be along soon with advice. Take care, @SunshineShorts Flowers

Placental abruption generally causes severe pain, not a bit of an ache. The most reassuring thing though is that your baby is moving normally. Get checked out if you think there’s a reduction in movements at any point, but there shouldn’t be any reason for you to be concerned here.
