Numbness in rib cage

Can anyone help. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and my ribs are soreeeee! Usually more so in the evening and seems to be my right side more than my left. I also get pins and needles under my boob / in my right rib cage if I lean forward slightly too.

Only been happening for a couple of days but it's draining and sore. Anyone else had this?

Yep, it’s a common pregnancy thing. It’s called rib flare & is a combination of hormones & your growing womb squashing things upwards!

I’ve had it in both my pregnancies from about 12 weeks. I get both pain, numbness & pins and needles in my ribs & across the top of my bump/lower boob area. It’s horrible. I used to cry in my car on the way home from work as I was just in agony! I found sitting in my chair at work the worst .. sadly, I’ve never found anything that particularly helps other than a mild hot water bottle and certain peculiar positions on the sofa!

I really do feel your pain, it’s not pleasant! Hope yours eases up!

@Bol87 thanks for replying! I get exactly the same thing. It reduced me to tears the other night as well. Along with that, the back and hip pain it all became too much!
I didn't think there was much that could be done but just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced it too 😩
