Has anybody ever has slapped cheek sydrome in pregnancy? This afternoon I all of sudden got really bright red cheeks, I felt hot and flushed. I called my doctor and he thinks I might have slapped cheek syndrome, iv to go to see him first thing in the morning and he says he might need to see a specialist about it? I'm 13+5 weeks

Never had it in pregnancy but 60% of women have already had it and are immune. The red cheeks classically appear at the end of the infection. Starts with fever and feeling unwell then the rash on the cheeks. If it is Parvovirus then you will need to be seen by a fetal medicine specialist. Most women who have Parvo in pregnancy though go on to have completely normal pregnancies and healthy babies.

@ladykluck thank you so much for your replay, my anxiety has been through the roof worrying about baby. I have been feeling really unwell but I was just putting it down to my pregnacy.
