Any point going docs?

I'm 27 weeks pregnant. I've had various cold symptoms for all of my pregnancy. At the moment my eyes are stinging and I have a headache most of the time but especially at night and early morning. So if I wake up at night I can't get back to sleep as I've got a bad head ache. My nose is stuffy but no mucus.

I had a bad cough a few weeks ago and coughed up a tiny amount of blood but it was on a Friday and by Monday the cough had cleared up. I was well for 2 days then back to headache, stinging eyes and saw throat.

I hate going to the doctors if I'm not going to be prescribed something. Do you think theres any point in going? Is it just a case of pregnancy symptoms?

I think it’s worth it as they can tell you what is ok to take; I was really congested and they told me what was ok.

Do you have a midwife appointment coming up very soon? If so, perhaps wait for that. However, I think it is quiet unusual to have cold symptoms so much, perhaps it is more worthwhile seeing the Dr for that and checking out what is going on.

Coughing up blood and regular headaches would be a big cause for concern for me. I would definitely suggest going to the drs.

Maybe just call your doctors and discuss it over the phone. They can prescribe you something over the phone (if needs be) and it saves going in and risking spreading your cold to other people
