Hi everyone

Im 36 weeks pregnant and just wandering when everyone lost their plug? And then how long did it take for you to go into labour after you'd lost it?

Im so fed up of being pregnant!

It started to go overnight on 36+5 and baby was here 24 hours later. All completely natural, he was just ready to come out. However I think I'm the exception as when I phoned them up to ask about having lost my plug (ftm) they said it'd probs come out gradually over a few weeks as I got closer to my due date. Ultimately it will come out when it comes out and baby will do the same - you could be pregnant for another 5-6 weeks yet.

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow been having slight bleeding over past few days no sign of baby though!! I'm the same though so fed up now haha xxx

Same here. 35+5 and getting very fed up. Every time I go to the loo I am checking to see if I have lost it. Hoping baby makes an early appearance as I am not sure how much longer I can last!

Mine came out a week before she was due. It came after an evening on the couch watching Netflix and eating pizza.

I had period cramps and a sore back and then things started to get in the way.

I got my ball and watched Downtown Abbey and Poldark through the night while my partner slept. Got checked at 12pm and was 4cm so came back home until 6pm and was then 6cm. Got to 9pm with gas and air to be 10cm, two hours of pushing and she was born at 11.03pm.

I feel losing the plug brought it on for me.

From around 38 weeks... I gave birth at 41 weeks.

Keyboard91 · 25/02/2020 14:09

I lost mine at 21 weeks and at 33 weeks. Currently 36 weeks so for me it seems less of a potential sign!

Ditto on being ready, although I need him to stay in situ for at least a week...

I lost mine the day I went into labour.

Lost it around 8am in the morning then waters broke at 11pm the same night.

bananamonkey · 25/02/2020 14:26

Not till I was 10 cm dilated but my waters didn’t go till then either! Sorry that’s not v helpful.

Ibizababyy · 25/02/2020 14:31

Last time I lost it in one go on the loo at 37+1 and baby arrived at 37+4. I’m 37 tomorrow and sooooo fed up! Doesn’t help that I’ve had it in my head this one will be early too- Sod’s law bet I go over! Constantly checking the loo for plug and scrutinising every twinge. Driving myself mental!

FusionChefGeoff · 25/02/2020 14:47

In the bath at 37 weeks and about 12 hrs before DS arrived.

Don't remember losing it with DD and she was 4 days late but waters didn't break until well into labour either!

SparkleUK · 25/02/2020 15:26

Mine came out yesterday at 40+5, morning - finally!

Lots of back ache since and I can't stop crying but he's still appearing very comfy in there

Nowayorhighway · 25/02/2020 16:16

The night before I went into a labour all three times. I lost segments of it from week 37 with DC4 though but he stayed put until the elective CS at 39 weeks.

Jesskir89 · 25/02/2020 17:42

I'm 36 plus 3 and no sign of mine yet! Going to get on my birthing ball tonight

MsChatterbox · 25/02/2020 18:56

I lost mine about an hour after labour began.

DramaAlpaca · 25/02/2020 18:58

I lost mine in the early stages of labour and baby arrived about 12 hours later.

SebandAlice · 25/02/2020 19:01

I lost mine about 9.30am. Went into labour about 8.00pm. DC1 born at 7.00am.

GiveHerHellFromUs · 25/02/2020 19:06

About 6 hours before DD was born, 2 and a half days after contractions started.

itakephotos · 25/02/2020 19:08

About 10 minutes before baby was born....plug went followed by waters followed by baby!

MollysMummy2010 · 25/02/2020 20:13

Night before - didn’t actually know what it was!!

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 25/02/2020 20:27

Wow so reading most of these the plug goes then labour follows not so long after.

OK, perhaps I wont be so impatient. He needs to cook for a bit longer yet!
