I am waiting on my early scan and can't stop worrying. My last pregnancy that was okay I got all the pregnancy symptoms straight away. This time I have not got any and feel perfectly healthy and normal I don't even feel pregnant I have got a very swollen belly already and I am only 6 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this and is it normal not to have any symptoms.

it is normal, and not everp pg is the same. all three of mine are different; different symptoms, etc.

don't worry

lailasmum · 05/09/2007 14:07

I didn't have any symptoms first time but this time have lots. I think it just varies from time to time.

PurlyQueen · 05/09/2007 15:28

It does vary fron PG to PG and from day to day. Some days I feel completely fine and on others I just want to crawl in a hole somewhere (like today

Just consider yourself lucky you don't have morning sickness bouncy. You and your baby are no doubt fine. Your body is probably more adept at dealing with things this time that's all.

Mrswizz · 05/09/2007 15:41

As long as you don't have pain or bleeding, I'd not worry. Enjoy it!

gingercat12 · 05/09/2007 16:21

My symptoms only started on week 7, so I would not worry. Many (lucky) people do not have symptoms at all and have beautiful, healthy babies

FuriousGeorge · 05/09/2007 22:20

In all my 3 pregnancies,I only ever got symptoms at 7-8 weeks.I never got morning sickness & my midwife used to ask me if I was sure I was pregnant.

monthlymayhem · 05/09/2007 23:19

bouncy1 - I felt exactly the same as you. I've had no ms, no tiredness etc at all and have felt really good - am now 12 +1 and had scan yesterday where we saw perfectly healthly baby. So, please don't worry (although I know that's easier said than done) - you are just lucky!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 05/09/2007 23:22

Sorry, don't mean to piss on the bonfire so to speak, but i have experienced this with a missed miscarriage and a normal pregnancy.
sorry.
just ignore me if you wish.

At six weeks I had no symptoms either, then the morning sickness kicked in! No symptoms doesn't mena anything, except that you can enjoy being pregnant without vomiting all day. Try not to worry. Easier said than done!

I had no symptoms til week 8 this time, then spent weeks 9-18 with head down loo. Completely diff. to first pregnancy and that worried me too, but all is fine (touch wood).

I don't think sickness/tiredness or lack of same are any use in judging if things are Ok or not, so please try not to worry.

PurlyQueen · 06/09/2007 14:50

My symptoms disappeared at week 8. I was so worried that I was begging the hospital to scan me early. But there was definitely a baba in there with a lovely strong heartbeat. The tiredness, sore boobs and excess saliva returned a week or so later but even now they come and go.

I know it's like telling you not to breathe, but try not to worry too much.

Thanks for everyones comments they have really helped me. I had my early scan and everything was in the right place, it was a bit too early 2 see anything so I have to go back for another one in a couple of weeks
