Hello guys, I experienced mild left side pain during yesterday even then when I went to sleep I had it during the night along with slight back ache but when I moved the pain went away? What is this could anyone tell me? I'm 4/5 in relation to brim so have no idea what that is also 32 + 4 weeks

Hi there, i'm 30+2 and have had the same thing for a week now. Had a 4D scan scheduled ages ago for today and they were able to tell me its the baby's spine I can feel in my left side. For me it feels like the pain is behind my rib cage and then round to the middle of my back. But only on my left!

Baby was head down today, so I guess a good position for labour. Obviously they will move from now until their birth day but I'm prepared to live with this ache for next next 10 weeks or so! Have taken paracetamol a few times to ease it.

"It sounds awful but at 32 weeks if it was something wrong you would know" Is the advice I got from the Midwife at the PAU when I had pain then. TBH, it did make sense to me and made me feel better

That's very true 😂

Trapped wind is often felt on the left side, at the bend of the top of the transverse colon (splenic flexture I think?). Can be very painful!
