Ice pick headaches-14 weeks

I've pretty much suffered with headaches constantly from about about 6-7 weeks. Some days barely there and other unbearable. I have had ice pick headaches before, badly when I was in high school and some minor episodes over the years (now 32) but they've started again today quite bad. I'm loath to take painkillers because no sooner do they start they have stopped again. I am going to see the dr in the morning but until then has anyone experienced this and any advice ie what did you do to treat them or where they caused by something underlying? TIA X

Not ice pick headaches but I’m 15 weeks and having headaches that last about 24 hours several times a week. I’ve had to take paracetamol a few times as nothing shifts it, not even sleep. I’m finding that the forehead 4Head sticks really help but if it’s a really bad one, I seem to have to wait for it to pass. Pretty fed up with them ☹️

I used to suffer bad migraines in school and then on and off in adulthood. Didn’t have them till about 12 weeks pregnant. Really bad all day ones with stabbing pains. The tablets I used to take are not safe during pregnancy so all I can use are paracetamol. I find the cool n sooth head stickers really help take the edge off it though.

I fell asleep after asking this but thanks for replying anyway ladies. Seems it's quite common and we may have to just suck it up hey 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'll let you know what my Drs says if it's anything useful and I will try the head stick(ers) thank you, hope you both feel better soon x
