Implantation bleeding or pill bleeding?

On the progesterone only pill for 5 months, last period at the start of January. I thought ‘oh! Must’ve sorted its self out so there’s no more periods.’ I haven’t had any bleeding since then. Monday-Friday this week have felt rough, Friday could barely move from exhaustion. Put it down to being busy...but Saturday started cramping. Definitely thought a period was going to start by the end of the day and it didn’t! Just pinky streaks. Same Sunday and today....any idea?! No period just light streaks for a few days, not even worth wearing a liner or anything, just when I wipe pretty much. My pill taking hasn’t been regular, but always within the 12 hour window.

It’s probably just pill related spotting if you’ve been taking the pill everyday. It’s really common. If you’re worried, take a test in about a week as if you are pregnant (very unlikely but not impossible) you’ll have enough HCG to be detected on a test

I was on Microgynon for about 3 1/2 years and at first had light bleeding all the time, the worst periods and no cycle. Once this had sorted itself out it was all normal and I had a "cycle" again, the thing that made my side effects worse was not taking my pill break!

I did however fall pregnant at the end of last year whilst on Microgynon, I had no bleeding whatsoever despite having my pill break which is why I had a feeling I was pregnant. The likelihood is slim but if you have your pill break and still no period, a test will be the only way to tell you!

I don’t have a break in my pills, it’s just constant taking of it. Considering I’ve been on it for almost 6 months, I would’ve thought things would’ve settled down by now. I’ve had bleeding before but it’s always been heavier which is just a worry. Sure it’s the pill but it’s such a pain to still be having such horrid side effects so far on. Just makes me want to come off of it!

@Littlebee233 I was on 3 different pills before finding one that was right for my body! Might be worth going to the doctors if you're still having problems and getting it changed 😊
