Pregnancy rhinitis and sleep

Second post of the morning!
Have had rhinitis and blocked nose from start of pregnancy - humidifier sorted this out until recently. It started getting worse at start of third trimester and now, at 30 weeks, I'm just not sleeping properly at all. Using humidifier, Vicks, saline nasal drops, noting is working.
Speaking to a GP later but wondered if anyone had any magic cure or knows if GP is actually able to do anything or prescribe anything?

Your GP might suggest a steroid nasal spray. I use one twice a day for rhinitis. They may not prescribe it as it’s an over the counter medication, depends how generous they are feeling in my experience! One of my doctors did and another said no, it’s £4.50 over the counter. I use Becconase which is literally the same spray I use for heyfever over spring/summer. It’s very low dose steroids, so no harm to baby. My GP said it’s such a low dose that the placenta will likely filter it out completely Smile

HI, thanks for replying. Just spoken to GP on phone and she's prescribed a steroid nasal spray - did this actually work for you?
