I sent my form off like 2 weeks ago do you get a text to say they have received the form because most people have I and haven't had a text

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Babyg1995 · 24/02/2020 09:08

I got a txt the day I done the form online and received payment around 2/3 weeks later .

Delbelleber · 24/02/2020 09:33

Can i just ask is there a specific eligibility for this grant or is it open to anyone?

Babyg1995 · 24/02/2020 17:00

It's open to everyone well the one in Scotland myself and partner both work and still got it .

Delbelleber · 24/02/2020 17:34

What gestation did you apply?

sunflower2020 · 24/02/2020 17:41

@dellbelleber

Usually, to qualify for a Sure Start Maternity Grant there must be no other children in your family and you or your partner must get one of these benefits:

Income Support

income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

income-related Employment and Support Allowance

Pension Credit

Child Tax Credit

Working Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element

Universal Credit

@delberreber the one off £500 grant is available to people having their first child only, who are also receiving certain benefits (it seems to be pretty much any benefit from what I can see), so anyone more likely to be struggling with money to provide for the baby I guess.

www.gov.uk/sure-start-maternity-grant/eligibility Has more information!
