Heavy bleed after sex 9 weeks pregnant

Hey so at 5 weeks pregnant I lost brown discharge for 4 days after sex, had a scan at 8 weeks and everything was fine saw the heartbeat. Had sex again at 9 weeks yesterday morning and lost a heck of a lot of blood. My bedding was soaked through 3 layers and it covered about 2 foot of the bed. That was about 9am yesterday. No clots, no cramps, and no further bleeding since whatsoever. I definitely dont feel I've miscarried as I can still feel the lump in my uterus which is the pregnancy but I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this? Always after any type of internal penetration. I'll go to the doctors if I get any mote bleeding but seeing as everything was fine just last week I feel like another scan to check everything wouldn't be an option. Seems to be the same cause every time but everything is okay. Just hope the placenta is okay as I heard it can detach from the uterus a little during orgasm

@Afellows post away, hope everything's okay, what's the situation now? Is everything getting better? Have you had any new symptoms? Have you had any pain? Xx

denbyellie · 10/03/2020 22:31

Also I think you should go to your EPU tomorrow , they will do your bloods and should scan you with your symptoms! ❤️

This was what I lost last night. I pulled it apart and it dissolved in water into crumbs so I don't think it's miscarriage tissue as I know how that looks. Have no idea what it is or where it came from. Tissue from my old miscarriage or from my c section scar as the womb stretches? Could also be the beginning of a mc still. This pregnancy is so different. Hopefully I have some answers at my scan this morning. Haven't lost anymore since this last night no cramping just slight back ache and a headache

Hope you're doing ok today.

I would call your EPU, or call 111 (assuming you are in uk). I called when 111 when I thought something was wrong (unfortunately in my case it was, didn't look like your photo though). They were very good and contacted my gp saying I needed an appointment within the next 2 hours which I had. My doctor even called the EPU for me during my appointment (they wouldn't see me as they obviously knew what was happening).

Don't sit and worry. Get checked out x

Hoping all ok. X

Afellows · 11/03/2020 14:49

I can't quite believe everything is okay! I fully burst into tears when I saw that heartbeat! Little one was waving, kicking and jumping around. No clear source of bleeding to be seen, she says it's probably from my cervix. Just going to stay on pelvic rest for peace of mind. Hope this gives peace of mind to anyone else. Baby was telling me to stay calm this whole time Smile

@Afellows thanks for keeping this updated and I am so so pleased for you that everything turned out well. I am going through the same thing at the moment and Have booked an early private scan for tonight as EPU wouldn’t see me. I should be eight weeks so hope I get the same outcome!

Mysa74 · 03/06/2020 08:54

Oh, I hope you are both okay too @Mrs173 ?
I had a big bleed with my second, it was terrifying but she's 3.5 years old now. Xxxx

Mrs173 · 03/06/2020 09:40

Ah thanks so much @mysa74 I was 7+5 and we saw a their little heartbeat. I really couldn’t believe it!! Had no bleeding since and hoping everything is going to be ok. I had a MC in Feb and everything about this pregnancy is just so scary! Hoping we end up with a babe in arms in Jan!
Thanks for checking up ☺️ Means a lot!
