Over due and fed up

I just want to moan. I'm overdue by a week nearly. I've had sweeps, curries, plenty of sex and nothing is shifting this baby. I'm so fed up. Heartburn is killing me, constant sore throat and my exercise ball is in constant use for about 4 hours a day. Please give me some inspiration ladies.

Just realised I should have RTFT before I commented - oh well! Good luck OP!

Just read your thread was coming to to say I understand how you feel going over due. But this is exciting!

All the best, I hope things keep progressing for you.

Currently sat watching Aladin with the face on aw bless you! Are you from Yorkshire?

How are you doing now?

whyisitsoflammingdifficult · 23/02/2020 21:27

Some of these contractions really knock you dont they yes they do. Try and breath slowly through them, when they get closer together a bath may help but try not to get in whilst they’re still every 5 minutes or so as they can knock them off. However if they do get less frequent a warm bath and nipple stimulation can help ramp them up again x

@whyisitsoflammingdifficult

From Lancashire so not so far away.

Just on way home from hospital. They were every 2 to 3 minutes lasting about a minute. Was convinced it was going to drop out, turns out I'm on 4cm now so bit of a let down. Midwife said I could stay in the hospital but will help me to labour quicker if at home so came home. Xx

So I came home and sat on my ball for a while, contractions were then every 6 or so minutes lasting for 40-60 seconds. Led on the settee for a while and woke up almost 3 hours later and now contractions have completely stopped. Is this normal? I'm so tired and it's only day 1. I have another appointment with the triage at 11 today which they will either offer induction or leave me for another 24 hours. I really want to stick it out and do it naturally. Help me ladies xx

How are you getting on? Yes they can start and stop. Are you managing to eat and drink? Have you tried doing some more breast stimulating?

They’ll probably give you the oxytocin drip to start the contractions off again as you’re waters have gone. So keep trying nipple stimulation 10-20 mins every couple off hours if things don’t get going again

I am hoping your silence means it’s all going on 🤞🏼 Xx

Hi guys. What a labour. It was absolutely awful. Ended up getting induced. Was 5cm at 1445, had epidural at 1845. I said to the midwife that I want to push and she said you will only be about 7cm, turns out I was 10cm and baby boy born 15 mins later. The pain was unbearable, I dont know how people do it more than once. Thanks for thinking of me. X

Mummyspider27 · 25/02/2020 06:48

Congratulations! Such lovely news! I think our bodies are programmed to forget the pain after a few days, the memories only come back when you are about to do it again, and by then it’s too late!! Enjoy every minute of Hugo xxx

Laylor · 25/02/2020 07:38
