Yes ! The bars are hidden in the bottom cushion -it almost looks like it’s stitched up x

If you buy from John Lewis or Halfords they will show you how to fit. If you’re really struggling I’d return what you’ve bought, re-buy through either of the above and they’ll help you get it in.

Thanks @Mj2196 - did the base fit ok? Found the isofix points but they look quite low down so wondering if the base is then on an angle? x

Yeah mine is fine fits great , We got our seat from an independent pram store though & they fitted it for us. but it does depend which base you use , did you check if the base fitted the car first ?most types will have lists online of compatible cars. But i will say in Our old audi the car seat always seemed was on an angle on the base I could never get it to look right, we ended up getting a different one x

No we didn't and now I'm thinking we absolutely should have! 🙈 The one we got with the pram fits in my husbands car so may have to buy a different one for mine 😏

I don’t think it matters if the base is at a slight angle. Not sure what brand of base you have, but maxi cosi has indicators to tell you when it’s fitted correctly.

Mj2196 · 22/02/2020 21:14

Oh no 🙈! Your doing right though -Car seats Can’t be on a angle , they are only tested at certain angles( I think 45) Ours was 2cm out so we had to swap. & lol at least you’ll still get some use out of it . We have a cybex if that helps and did have a britax. X

I have an Evoque and got the Silver cross car seat and isofix base fitted in John Lewis but the base was slightly angled (because the floor is not completely flat in the back) and the sales advisor would not sell me the car seat for safety reasons so we swapped to a maxi cosi instead. Can you go back to where you bought it and see if they can fit it for you to make sure it’s safe?
