Pilonidal cyst - anyone else?!

So I had an infection pilonidal cyst many years ago before my first pregnancy, never had any issues following. However, I have had recurring issues with my scar since I gave birth to DC1 and I’m now pregnant again, I don’t know if my scar is splitting or I have a new cyst.

I just wondered has this happened to anyone else? They are only treated with surgery which worries me while pregnant and I’m also now considering whether a natural birth is a good idea again. I’m convinced the pressure of the first one has triggered this.

I have never met anyone with this problem so hoping to find others here

I had one in my teens, and operated on.
Im now 25+5 with my first, and it felt really strange a few weeks back... Like it was splitting!

All seems fine though, I'm going to guess its skin stretching!? Sorry I cant be much more help

Not me but my OH had one surgically operated on over a year ago. Closed with stitches but they burst open so he had to have it heal open and have it packed every day.
The other day we noticed it appeared to be splitting and looked like a new hole was opening where the scar was. He went to get it checked out and they said it was just granulation of tissue and not a new hole. They gave him antibiotics and its been okay so far.
I do know though that if they don't get rid of everything when they operate, a new one can eventually form so definitely get it checked if you can just to be sure.
