Fluctuating/low afi

I am currently 35+2 & have had low afi levels for the past 2 weeks. This was picked up following a growth scan indicated as I had a positive fibronectin test & was admitted to the hospital & given steroids.
I had growth scans at 28 & 30 weeks due to low fundal height for gestation & baby is measuring fine. So this third scan during admission picked up 10oz weight gain estimate 4lb10 at 33 weeks & an afi level of 7.1. I had reduced fetal movements to this & they are currently all over the place not in pattern. My next scan 3 days later was 7.8 & a week later 8.6.
I’m confused what’s happened. Currently having twice weekly CTG, weekly afi & Doppler checks & growth fortnightly. I’m due to see my consultant at 36+1 who said the original plan is to get me to 37 weeks & look at induction. Which will be discussed after the next growth scan at 36+1. It’s driving me insane all this will I won’t I be induced. I don’t no wether I’m coming or doing. I have a little boy who bless him from 1 week to the next is passed around for appointments & I just want some clarity what to expect. If 8.6 is borderline but the hospital like it to be above 10 will I be induced or continue weekly monitoring until it drops. I no belle 5 is the major concern but I’m so confused by it all wondered if anyone can shed some light a little
