How did your labour start?

Hello!

So I am 38+2 today with my 2nd and this pregnancy has been awful! With my first it was a smoothish ride!

Yesterday I thought I was getting a D&V bug. I had chronic dioarhea and then vomited. After that I was absolutely fine apart from being absolutely drained. Just happened the once. Was like a good old clear out 😂 sorry tmi.
Today I have lost my mucus plug. I was so excited, finally could this be it. I know with the mucus plug it could be another 1-2 weeks but with the vomiting and Dioarhea surely it's around the corner! Since 28 weeks I've had braxton hicks and menstrual cramping. I'm just so fed up and clutching at straws, ARGH!

With my first I had the Hollywood gush of waters breaking and then contractions 15 mins after.

What were your experiences? Any similar to mine?

Both mine started with an insatiable appetite for cleaning as soon as I finished, and collapsed in to bed I was woken with the urge to per, stood up and wooooshhhh it was like the hoover damn burst!

Then came the mass clear out (grim) and contractions about 30minutes later.

9 days late, after 3 sweats. Woke up with contractions at 4am. My waters went (eventually) at 9pm, baby born at 10:59pm

Five past midnight on my due date with what I thought were Braxton Hicks but kept getting stronger. Started to get cramping through my back and hips so went to the bathroom hoping the movement would ease the discomfort. Realised plug had come away and there was a bit of a show. Turned out to be a long labor though and DD arrived 5.21 am the following day (after an epidural and a few hours sleep in hospital).

1. 5 days over. Induced 4 times over 5 days. Baby arrived on 5th day.
2. 4 days over, Felt groggy. Stood up to make a drink, waters broke, went to hospital and was 7cm dilated.
3. 7 days over, contractions started at home, baby born via emergency c section 24hrs later
4. Induced on Friday, labour began on Sunday night. Baby born via emergency c section 10am on Monday.

Wow, thank you for sharing all your experiences. It's truly amazing how each pregnancy is different. I guess you can have every symptom going but that baby is gonna come when they want!
