The pessary didnt work for me. Removed after 24hours then had the first round of gel which definitely got things moving for me. Good luck!

I had hypersensitivity to it so I was having contractions very quickly and very strongly BUT hat lasted for hours and hours with contractions every 20 seconds but just distressed baby and got me no better than 2xm after 10 hours of it so if that happens to you 1/shout about it and get them to remove pessary 2/ epidural asap.

From pessary to baby 64 hours 😫

Goodebe · 20/02/2020 06:20

However from first contraction to baby just 3 1/2! Good luck!

Pessary didn't work for me either. I think they put me on a drip after a couple of hours and that kicked things off. Went in to be induced at 10:30am and DS was born the following morning at 4am

First 24hr pessary didn't do much for me it was the next 2 that got things moving and contractions starting then waters broke naturally. From first proper contraction pains (very minor to start with) to birth was about 12 hours.

ajandjjmum · 20/02/2020 07:51

Two inductions using pessary.

First baby 16 hours after pessary, second 1.5 hours!

Good luck - hope you'll soon have your little one in your arms.

Uncomfortable contractions started about 7 hours after the propess went in.

I hope things have started happening for you, but if not then get plenty of rest! And pester them for pain relief as soon as you need it, this could be a long process so you don't want to be exhausted before you get to the pushing through baby out bit.

Good luck!
