Ring the maternal ward at your hospital for advice. It sounds like early labour to me. If you get on to it straight away if it is labour then that would be for the best. Good Luck!

This is the 1st time I've had them too although the period pain is dull and constant these are sharp and come and go. Good luck at triage x

DanielleDKEA · 20/02/2020 12:47

Maybe phone triage to? Theyve dine a test an it come back positive that i could go into prem labour within 2 weeks so there keeping me in but my cervix is still long.. does that mean its not soft at all??

Oh gosh did they say what it was? At least they are keeping you in which is a good thing, best to be monitored.
I'm not sure about cervix being long I thought that was a good thing as I had cervical length scans and they always checked length and funneling.
Yes I think I may do if the pain gets any worse today, if not I have an appointment with midwife in the morning so I'll have a chat to her.

DanielleDKEA · 20/02/2020 13:02

Yea she said its a good sign its long so im guessing that its not softened at all.. i didnt ask as didnt wanna look silly.. yea they said it should all be ok just better to be safe.. yea deffo do u never no.. keep me updated xx

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow with 5th baby too and having the same pains I think it's just baby getting into place. Xx

5zeds · 20/02/2020 13:08

Just really put your feet up and relax. Every extra day will help. If you DO go into labour, you are in the safest place for the baby.

DanielleDKEA · 20/02/2020 15:51

Yea they said they doubt ill go into labour over night but if pains get worse or anythung was to happen but if my cervix is still abit long do u think thats its likely to happen as im sure it means its not soft / effaced at all an that takes time doesnt it thank u all for your comments x

I have super fast labours so long cervix wouldn’t really make much difference for me.

DanielleDKEA · 20/02/2020 15:59

Ive had a few my daughter was born in 31 minutes an one of my sons an hour .. i just feel like its all new again lol x

With DC1 I had period pains from around 12 hours before birth but with DC4 it was four months! Babies seem to have their own agendas.

I hope all goes well.

DanielleDKEA · 20/02/2020 16:16

Thank u hun .. i dint think im worried anymore as they said it could be up to 2 weeks an my cervix is long so not sure lol xx
