The first date of my last period was December 16th, I ovulated on the 5th of January. On the 14th of January I took a test which had a very faint positive, took one a few days later and had a stronger line.
On the 12th of February we had a private reassurance scan booked in. The evening before I had light pink spotting. I had an internal scan and was told I was earlier than I thought, probably due to late ovulation. Due to this it was too early to see a heartbeat. Sack measured 8mm and embryo 1mm. Said I was about 5 weeks and everything looked right for this stage.
The spotting continued so was sent to the early pregnancies department for another internal scan the next day. The nurse was not so positive and said it could be the above or baby may have stopped growing. Booked in for a follow up scan on the 27th of February.
The spotting continued till the 17th when the bleeding got a bit heavier and more red. I had my 1st pre booked midwife appointment today (19th Feb) and still went so could ask some questions. I explained everything above and she checked my dates and said they add up with being early. Said if not filling pads and no cramping then it does not necessarily mean bad news, I left feeling slightly more positive.
This afternoon the bleeding got a lot heavier with some small clots and cramping .
Has anyone else had this happen ? We're hoping for the best but prepared for the worst first the scan on the 27th.
