14+4 weeks and feeling absolutely massive but no bump

Does anyone else feel absolutely massive despite not having a bump yet? I’m 14+4 weeks today and I think I have a little baby pouch but it could also be a tyre of fat from all the extra food I ate in the first trimester... In reality, it’s probably a bit of both. Anyway, I’m feeling really uncomfortable in my own skin at the moment and have a really negative view of my body as I just feel huge and ugly all the time. I know amazing things are happening to my body and it will all be so worth it but I’m just feeling a little grumpy today.

I'm also 14+4 weeks!! ❤️ And feeling the exact same way as you, first pregnancy so watching my body adapt and grow for this baby is amazing but also very different to how I'm used to seeing it! Feel slightly disheartened that my clothes aren't fitting but maternity clothes are way to big still.

We are doing an incredible thing growing our babies and it's completely normal for us to feel this way, especially with all the hormones! Fingers crossed this feeling passes soon xx

Yes! I’m 14+5 and feel massive.
I’m the lightest I’ve ever been but nothing I own fits.

Your hips widen and your waist thickens fat before you get a discernible bump at the front. By 20-22 weeks you'll 'pop' and maternity wear will be great

Ah I’ve found my people - just posted on the other thread where the majority seem to have not gained anything until 3rd trimester!!

I’m a whale and I feel crap. Put on 7lbs and the bloating/ constipation is the worst. I feel you.

I'm 14+4 as well. This is my 4th pregnancy but 2nd child. I feel huge and my clothes are riding up around my stomach but I don't feel like I have a bump at all and after 2 losses I'd love the reassurance of the bump getting bigger. But I guess I'll never relax as I'm high risk and have a prem child so its never ending

I’m sorry you’re all feeling this way but I’m delighted that I’m not the only one. I feel like such a blob at the moment, I haven’t dared weigh myself and I’m with you all on none of my clothes fitting. I don’t want to buy bigger sizes and we’re too small for maternity wear so I’m just wearing baggy shirts that hide the fact my trousers are unzipped 😂. Hopefully we will feel better when our bumps come, I can’t wait for that!! 🥰

How are you all feeling generally at this stage? I’m very impatient so would like pregnancy to hurry up please. Also, I feel a little lost after the 12 week scan (I had mine at 13 weeks). I was so focused on getting to that point as I have also experienced a previous loss that I’m not sure what the next aim is now. My next scan isn’t until 22 weeks which feels like a lifetime away. Xx

@emmaSt55 - I feel the same, I compromised by going to Primark and buying 2 pairs of their £6 jeggings in the next size up.

I am also wondering to get a bumpband from JoJobebemanan. Not sure how could they are, but apparently it means you can wear your own clothes for longer, as it masks the fact you have the button undone.
