Hi everyone hope you are are well. My Gp surgery has added a new medication to my repeats for liothyronine which the specialist has prescribed on prior occasions so im guessing if it was on my repeats i could now order it from my GPs as i read somewhere the hospital has to prescribe it for three months first before they hand it over to the GPs. Well i put in the repeat medication which was at the due date and it has been rejected and im at a bit of a lose to why they added it it they had no intentions of actually prescribing it.

Call the surgery. Sometimes the medication team at the gps don’t know enough about a medication to authorise it so you need a chat with a gp. If you explain the issue they will most likely get a doctor to call you who will then authorise it.
