Pregnancy not progressing as normal...

Hi All, I had my scan. They want to scan me again in a week. They say there is progress with what they saw two weeks ago and I'm just to forget my dates and see if there is further progress next week. No heartbeat but she said with the size it is she doesn't expect to see a heartbeat. She says we will know by next week properly if this is a viable pregnancy. I know my cycles vary wildly between 28 - 36 days. I want to be positive but know in my heart it's not looking good. I'm supposed to be 8 weeks 1 day but looking nearer 6 weeks. They saw fetal pole, sac and everything is in the right place. I know the progress isn't enough. I'm heartbroken.

This is my third pregnancy, no live children.

Hello @Martini123 I just wanted to send you my love as what you are going through is horrendous. I had a scan yesterday at what I thought was 8 weeks and was told fetal pole measures 4mm which is more like 6 weeks. There was a heartbeat which I should be feeling delighted about but I know my dates aren't out so I'm very concerned. It's a good sign that things have progressed since you were last there two weeks ago, although I know how hard it is to hold on to the positive when you are going through this

Just wanted to give you a bit of hope .... I went for my first scan thinking I was 7+5 but I only measured 6+1.
2 weeks later, I had a follow up scan and baby had grown proportionately.
I'm now 15 weeks and had my dating scan last week. Baby is fine and has caught up a week from those early scans.

I am also in a similar situation, went for a scan on Saturday, thought I was 8+6 but got told I was more like 6+3, no heartbeat could be detected, the fetal pole measured 6.7mm and they said at this point they would expect to see/hear a heartbeat. The yolk sac was also enlarged which they said can indicate a failed pregnancy & missed miscarriage 😔

Waiting until 24th Feb for a follow up scan, having no bleeding etc yet. Such a horrible feeling having to wait, it's a constant battle between feeling fine and 'what will be will be' to absolutely heartbroken. Praying I've just a slow grower!

Thank you all for my messages. It's the most horrendous place to be in and can totally relate to the what will be will be to fine to heartbroken. It's so difficult when things don't go to plan and all we are told to do is wait. Feeling for you having to go through this now. Let me know how your scans go and I'll let you know about mine.

Also, thanks for the positive story. I really hope we all have them.

Just wanted to update that I'm now going through my third miscarriage. Unfortunately, I'm not one of the happy miracle stories. I hope you have all fared better than me.
