Bleeding at 15+4

Is this normal?
I've text my midwife but I don't know if she's working today.

It isn't heavy like a period, but it's enough to notice and transfer into my clothes. There aren't any clots but I have an ache on the left side of my belly...

Ring your maternity unit and they can transfer you through to the early pregnancy unit (or make the referral for you depending on how that hospital works). In the mean time go to A&E if the bleeding increases.

I've just created a post about bleeding. Been in and out of a & e the last few days as ive been getting sudden gushes of bleeding. Enough to fill a pad then it stops and turns into spotting. Had a scan and baby is ok bleeding is not near baby or placenta and the reason is unknown. Just called my own midwife as I want to know why its happening and she said it could be due to my cervix having irritated cells.

If the bleeding is red I would try and call your midwife or local epu to be checked out. It took 2 days but was such a relief knowing baby is ok.

Hi, I had positive result last night, on my 5thwk base on my calculations. But I began to have brown discharge right after the home kit test. Today has been 1and a half days of having discharge and the color is dark brown with sticky dark brown old blood like discharge. Yesterday I went to the hospital but they told me to wait another week to observe and take a blood test coz the urine test they did resulted into not too clear positive result bec. they say it’s too early. I am worried bec. I just had an ectopic pregnancy last Deccember but had no discharge or vaginal bleeding, i went to salpingectomy procedure and Im so scared now.

Hi @Baness I bled heavily between weeks 5 and 9 every day, I went through 2 pads a day on some days and then it just stopped.

I've been spotting the last few days but it's been darker in colour whilst this today is "fresh" blood (much redder in colour).

I've just phoned my hospital who aren't picking up and neither is my midwife so ive texted her.

How far gone are you @Charchar19 it's so awful not knowing. We saw our little peanut a few weeks ago and everything look good, he just wouldn't sit still for some measurements but they got them in the end.

Right now as I am writing this, I checked my discharge out with a tissue and I think it's fading, some traces but unlike the past hours.

Hi ladies, thank you for replying, it's really a big help talking to someone right now. In addition to this, I will turn 40 this November and some says I am old to get pregnant. Please pray for me because I really wanted to have another baby for such a long time, I have a 16 yr old boy already. I will pray for you all too.

@Babyshine2020 sorry forgot to put 14+5 so have already had my 12 week scan before any of this started. So much for second trimester being the easy one! Keep trying to get through when I had heavy bleeding the second day I called the number the epu gave me 20 times with no anwser so had to go through the whole a & e process again.

I spoke to my midwife who said until I'm 16 weeks I need to go to A&E and get a referral to the EPU.
I'm keep an eye on things but my vagina is aching 😂😅 sorry if tmi.

The bleeding is pretty consistent but the ache has gone so I'm going to play it by ear.

@Babyshine2020 that's what I have had to do and its not a quick process going through a & e! My red bleeding has stopped again like previous days and is now just brown spotting. How are you feeling now?

@baness hope your ok I had some brown spotting early on and scan at 12 weeks was all good.

Hope your ok, I had this at 15 weeks too , I wont re tell the story as it's a complicated one! But I'm now 21 weeks

@Charchar19 I've woken up this morning and it seems to of stopped like magic, my discharge isn't back to the colour it should be but it's not pink/red/brown so I'm taking that as a comforting factor.

@Piecrust32 that's great news. I didn't feel it was enough to go to A&E but I had heavier than a period bleeding for 3 weeks with no explanation between weeks 6 and 9 so it could be related. It's just the not knowing!
