38+2 weeks pregnant sweep done only 1cm dilated.. feel deflated

So I know I'm only 38 weeks pregnant but I'm so over the spd, heartburn and insomnia.

I went midwifes to she performed a sweep said she did a little one but also said I'm only 1cm dilated I'm still thick and -2 position. I feel deflated I was really hoping being my 4th this baby would "fall out"

No pains after the baby however is not happy shes going mental 😫

I've had no show no mucous coming away (I dont remember even seeing these on my last 3 either though) but tons of painful BH for weeks! So to be told I'm thick and not dilated is so disheartening!
I dont think I can do this any longer!

Anyone else gone from 1 cm mid anterior and thick to having a baby soon after?

I went for a sweep last week at 39 weeks. She couldn't do one as closed and high although baby 2/5 engaged and not a lot seems to be happening since. They're great fun aren't they?!

Hopefully someone will be able to give you a good story of their own experience 🤞

My mw said that because this isnt my first my cervix would be 1cm anyways so really does feel like nothing is happening.

4 babies in and I'm still a compete novice 🙈

I was 2cm at my sweep, and by the time I got home, I had to go straight back to the hospital to deliver 🤣

They're all so different and unpredictable, like to keep you on your toes! Hope little one starts getting a move on for you soon

Firstly, I feel your pain! I had so many Brixton hicks and was in and out from 33 weeks with full on contractions

Maybe TMI but I was put on a sex ban! Orgasms in particular kept starting contractions! - maybe give that a try if you want to give birth soon!!!

This is so promising! I had a nap I've woken up with period like pains but I've had these for some many weeks now ergh! I'm not sure if it's because I have 3 little girls running me in circles but this baby more than others I just want out. I grew impatient only with other when I went over due.
.shes calmed down though so least shes forgiven me for the midwife prodding her head at last

My oh works away so no chance of that..
.and to be honest it's a great excuse not to have sex I may say I've been put on a ban for the foreseeable future, "having a headache" obviously didnt work or I wouldn't be on here asking for advice on my 4th 😂
