Missed Miscarriage

Hello,

I’m looking for support, we had a missed miscarriage recently and I had surgery over the weekend.
This was our first pregnancy and I would of been 12 weeks pregnant this week.
With it only being the start of the recovery process I really can’t wait for my period to come. Has anyone had this procedure done before and how long their period took to arrive?

It’s been a tough start to the year for us and all we want is to have our happiness and a positive pregnancy.

I'm really sorry to hear your sad news - I also experienced a MMC and remember clearly how devastating the whole experience was xx

I think following surgery it took 5 weeks for my period to return - It immediately went back to my normal 28/29 day cycles.

Take time to heal and wishing you the best of luck for the future xx

Hey! I had a MM in October, at 12+5. Im so so sorry for your loss and know exactly how your feeling so big hugs!

I opted for medical management of my MM and my bled a lot in oct, 2 weeks from passing the baby and then a week break and a 4 day bleed, november i had a 9 day really heavy period and by december i was back to normal cycles

May be different for you with you having a D&C as i think there is less bleeding afterwards i had to spend the night in hospital to pass the baby and placenta

Xxx

Thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me - it’s been nearly three weeks since we found out but due to more scans needed I only had the surgery a couple of days ago.
I guess it’s a waiting game and hopefully this year we will get pregnant and it’s a positive one

So sorry to read of your mc. I had to wait 42 days before my first AF after my surgical management.

Hi so sorry to hear about your loss.
I had a MMC in September and had surgical management. My period returned after 5 weeks, took 3 weeks to get a properly negative test. Then period arrived two weeks after that.
I fell pregnant after that period and I'm now 17 weeks 4 days with a little boy.

Wishing you lots of luck xx

My story is similar to @Puppydogg1 but a cycle ahead!

Had MMC with surgical management (local anaesthesia) in August, AF came after 30 days, became pregnant the cycle after and now 23 weeks with a baby boy!

The nurse said you can be more fertile after a MC, and it my case it seems accurate at least.

Good luck OP - you will get through this EnvyThanks

Please ignore the sick face! That was totally unintentional - fat fingers!

Sorry for your loss Kyoyo Flowers

I got spotting approx 5 weeks after D&C, then unfortunately had a chemical pregnancy that month - which apparently can be quite common

Normal cycle returned the month after and got PG 3 cycles after that - DS is now 11 Smile

All the best
