Help: When do you get informed of your 12 week scan?

Hope someone can help just put my mind at ease...I'm 11 weeks pregnant today. I've had my booking in appointment over 2 weeks ago and haven't received my dating scan letter. I called the midwife unit today who advised I call the hospital that will do the scan. I've tried throughout the day with no success. I've had another letter from the same hospital regarding my blood work as I'm rhesus negative, so I'm assuming my information has been passed on etc.

Anyway just to ease my mind, how far in advance were dating scans booked? Sorry just worrying I'll miss my window or something

I think different areas do things differently so you may get some differing advice!

My 12 week scan was booked via the MW at the booking in appointment, she just rang (I assume) the hospital and booked it in for me so I knew there and then when it was.

Is it just you can't get through to the hospital? Perhaps try again tomorrow and then ring your midwives office back if no success

I got a letter 4 days after my booking in appointment. I got the letter on Saturday and my appointment is 3 weeks tomorrow.

I got my letter in the post at about 6 weeks; my scan is in 3 weeks time when I'll be 12+5. I haven't been contacted about my booking appointment yet though 🤔.

Thanks everyone, yeah I think I'll try the midwives again tomorrow as it sounds like I should have an appointment by now. Hate how because it's my first I have no idea what to expect
