We use lubricant I'm just one of those people who know I should ask the Dr or midwife but Im choked by embarrassment......i know when I last went for smear 2018 all OK just had a collapsed vaginal wall could this be the cause Hmm

You need to steel yourself and tell you MW (if you have an appt in the offing) or ring for advice (does your GP do telephone consultations?)

Honestly, the GP will have see this a thousand times, no need to be embarrassed at all!! They see and hear about much worse.
The fact that it’s always happened is reassuring about your pregnancy though.

Please check. I had very minimal spotting after sex at 22 weeks. Just called the midwife to check and I ended up having to go in to hospital due to being rhesus negative and needed an anti D injection. They also did a pelvic to check the source of bleeding which wasn’t found.
All seems to be good though.

I am rhesus negative to..... Confused I'm just convincing myself that it's fine as it happend before I was pregnant to but also I hate any palaver around me Sad

Definitely tell your midwife. You're likely to be sent for a scan instantly. It might be sensible to avoid intercourse or masturbation until you've been seen and given a green light.

How far along are you, did your last scan show any haematoma in your placenta? What is the bleeding like, brown or fresh red blood? Any clots in it?

I experienced heavy bleeding at 12 weeks and the scan revealed a big haematoma. Fresh red blood came out, no clots, looked like period. It happened three times in a week and it was extremely scary. Orgasm (the contractions it's causing) triggered the bleeding. I've been put on pelvic rest (no sex or orgasms for a few weeks). Before this happened out of blue, I never had a drop of blood and we had sex and orgasms all the time. Haematomas can happen to anyone, no way to predict it. The blood could also come from your cervix being irritated because of penetration. Both things are more common than people think.

Have it checked for a peace of mind.

So I mentioned to the midwife.... She just said is it just abit.... You know how to stop that then don't you... Don't have sex and that was that...... So i guess she's not concerned.....

That's a terrible response from the mw Confused so you shouldn't have sec all the time you're pregnant?! Fuck that

Avearage · 17/02/2020 16:07

I know I then felt silly for mentioning it Blush I'm guessing she didn't mean actually stop for whole 6 months remaining otherwise she would of made more about it and it was just a dismissive response so who knows....
