Snuzpod2 with sleepyhead

Hi folks,

I've got a second hand snuzpod2 and a brand new sleepyhead deluxe, I intend to use together for overnight sleeping; my question is should I buy a new snuzpod2 mattress to place the sleepyhead on, or can the sleepyhead go straight on the slats? TIA

Lots of people do use that set up for overnight but I believe on top of a mattress. I didn't with either of mine as the sleepyhead doesn't properly fit and it curled up slightly. It was too much of a risk for me to take.

Your baby may hate either the sleepyhead or snuzpod as well so be prepared for that!

I'd buy the mattress.

Buy the mattress. You'll need it sooner or later. Also, Sleepyhead bottom not thick enough over the hard slats IMO. I've just got a new mattress for our Snuzpod and it was £30.

Thanks for the advice. Did you buy waterproof cover too? Do you think I will need it even though baby is staying in sleepyhead on top of it? X

I haven't bothered with the waterproof cover yet...I don't really get what it's protecting against when the baby is in nappies? It shouldn't be leaking when they are so small and if they are in the right fitting ones so you should be perfectly fine. Don't remember ever getting the mattress wet with my first baby!
