Feb Bus pt 2 graduates

@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

Anyone else London here?? Have you guys shared your news yet?

I’ve got a work dinner on Thursday evening. Only six people going so my not drinking is going to be really obvious. I don’t know what to do. I could tell my boss now just to get it out there (but I’m really nervous of the impact it’s going to have on my career so I wanted to leave it as long as possible). I could nurse one drink all night. Any advice?

@Hhdxx i did ov tests last month and got static smile on cb and strong lines on cheapies both on cd 12. This month i got not even a flashing smile or anything on cd 12. I gave up after that. My first faint positive came on cd24. We dtd on cd 11 and cd 13. Xx

@sparkler07 maybe you ovulated earlier than usual then if you're not sure? When did you get your first positive on a pregnancy test?
@Needallthesleep I've told my family, apart from my grandparents. However, I am going to tell them next time I see them. I'm only 4 weeks (from last day of my period) so prlbablh way too early to tell people. But it's been such a long drag that I had to tell them. They all cried. How far along are you? Xxx

@Hhdxx . I got my first positve this wednesday just gone. 11dpo according to the apps. I only have 25/26 day cycles . I was due on this fri/sat xxx

@sparkler07 I think I'm about 13/14. I got a positive ovulation test two weeks today but in the morning. Think maybe my period was due tomorrow or maybe tomorrow. I hope it doesn't come so bad xxx

It works for 'normal' people here but once I find out I don't have to see a GP or register online I just have to ring my doctor and get a midwife appointment so I do self-refer over the phone but I have to be booked in early so they can make sure I see a consultant at foetal medicine and have a scan around 8 weeks then I'm on consultant led care!! Xx

@BooMamaBear when are you going for your appointment. Really hoping everything is alright for you 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
I've just done another test. Does this mean my spotting isn't affecting the pregnancy? Had spotting for 48 hours. Or is it too soon to tell xx

@Hhdxx - I've got my dating scan on 3rd so they'll work out when I'm 11 weeks from that and that's when I have the test I anticipate it to be last week in March! Thank you
If there were any problems your HCG wouldn't drop off immediately so a test would still pick it up but I don't think it would be going up so that fact your tests are getting darker still is a good thing I think!
I did a cb digital which said 2-3 weeks when I had bad cramps and stuff the Dr told me to wait a week and a day then use the same test again which I did and it said 3+ weeks which meant that my HCG was still going up! Xx

@Hhdxx. My period was due Fri/yesterday. I was on edge thinking it was going to come but 🤞 its looking good. Your tests look good as they are still getting darker.xxx

I had the same thing last Saturday, @Needallthesleep but with ex work colleagues. They didn't mention about me not drinking either out of politeness or just not noticing! I got a drink that looks like it could well have gin in it 😂
I nearly didn't go!!

@Needallthesleep just lurking here but wanted to remind you that lent starts on Tuesday so you could be giving up alcohol as part of that? If not I'd just nurse one drink all night - I've never noticed when my pregnant colleagues have done it!

@BooMamaBear good luck. So do you think I'm not having a chemical then? Spotting is now really minimal. I'm hoping so much.

@sparkler07 thank you. They're darker aren't they. Just worried that it's start of a chemical. I've never been pregnant before so don't know what to expect. Cramps have toned down quite a bit. Xx

@Hhdxx. I have 3 children but as my youngest is 11 its been a long time since I have experienced pregnancy. I have been having some pains in my stomach and pains in my boobs which is normal. Its deffo a good sign there getting darker . Xx

@Hhdxx - I can only tell you from my experience but I would have expected the spotting to turn to a heavy period if it was a. chemical! Fingers crossed your spotting stops!! Xx

@BooMamaBear thanks for sharing with me. I've not had spotting for over 24 hours now. How long was your spotting before the blood arrived if you don't mind me asking? Just want to know what experiences were. Sorry if it brings back nasty memories. Don't worry about answering if not xxx

Don't worry it was so early I don't get sad about it anymore -I think I'd already started losing the baby before I missed a period. My period was due on a Friday but didn't turn up so I got a BFP Saturday morning but only had 1 test and like to do 2 so I did one on the Sunday but it was BFN I checked again on a cb digital on Monday and BFN! I had no pain or any spotting until Tuesday morning I had spotting for about half a day then full heavy period!! Xx

@BooMamaBear really sorry to hear that. Its still rubbish though for you. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 For you. Thank you for talking to me about this. So nervous. Spotting has stopped since yesterday morning so hoping everything is OK. I think af was due today or tomorrow. Not too sure xxxxx

Is this a daft question. 15dpo and holding wee for just an hour will give me a lighter result? Sorry if you think I'm obsessed which I am x

Just use FMU that should give you a clearer result I honestly think if you'd had a chemical the spotting would have just turned heavier not stopped - try and relax a bit stress is not good for you!! I know easier said than done but I'm thinking if anything happens there's nothing I can do about it disappointed as I'd be stress is not good for baby either!!xx

@Hhddxx. Think they say 4hr hold, that's why they say fmu. I wouldnt stress. Like the other poster said it would of heavier bleed by now if chemical. Xxx

I did another frer test this morning and has got slighter darker. Going to buy one more packet and use them two tests over the next 10 days or so. Im having some mild symptoms sore boobs, nausea and some mild tummy pain so 🤞its looking ok. I have only just turned 4 weeks so I'm keeping on guard atm though. Xxx
