Working out due date

Trying to work out my due date - who is using conception date and who is using first day of last period?

My Clearblue test matches my believed conception date but if I was to go with the FDOLP it would be 2 weeks extra.

Not been to the doctor yet, but assume the official due date they'd estimate will be the one that I think is incorrect?!

It's always the first date of last period which is what doctors/midwife will use. Your 12 week scan will then determine your due date more accurately which may differ than the estimation from your fdlp.

Conception date plus 38 weeks should be similar to fdolp plus 40 weeks if you have a 4 week cycle.

Your dating scan should be the most accurate. If you have long cycles, and want the nuchal scanning, make sure it's in the right window.

You go by the first day of your last period even though conception doesn’t happen until approx 14 days after. They do it this day because most people don’t know the day they conceived but will know the rough date of their last period.
