Hi ladies, I'm 26 weeks and i feel baby everyday but still feels like a strong bubble nothing like a kick or similar.

i have read in some forums of mums counting kicks this early and trying to feel at least 10 in 1h/2h before going to hospital

i no where near there have that amount of movements from baby.

whats your experience? midwife said until 28 weeks i wont have a pattern. but if i dont even feel kicks what kind of pattern am i going to have?

thanks

I am also 26 weeks (tomorrow) and don't feel kicks that strong or often either, I do have an anterior placenta though (is yours at the front too?), I was also told to not start counting till 28 weeks. Perhaps I should Confused I am feeling some movement a few times a day though so just assumed everything was fine. xxx

26 weeks is too early to start counting. The advice has changed anyway and it’s advised you take note of your baby’s individual pattern and seek help if the baby deviates from that. My DS was always very active in the evening but quiet in the morning. This was normal for him so I got used to this, if he wasn’t active at night I’d have sought help.

Don't worry too much. I'm a week off giving birth and I have no pattern whatsoever. I barely feel her move most days but apparently as long as that's usual, everything is fine.
The hospital are much more interested in what is normal for you, not a specific amount of kicks etc.
It took me until at least 30 weeks to feel actual kicks, and there were never very many per hour.

My DS1 didn't move much at all, definitely didn't feel much before 28 weeks. After that I was feeling kicking and moving but not very strong and that was normal for him.

I didn't realise how mild DS1s movements were until I was pregnant with an acrobat of DS2 that kicked and moved constantly from 20 weeks, so much stronger, kept me awake all night (and DH when my kicking bump was touching him!)

So every baby is different. It's changes in movements of the same baby that you should really be monitoring I think, though I'd wait a few more weeks.
