Could I be pregnant?

Hello,
I am trying for baby number 2. I started my period on the 2nd February. It usually lasts 5 days and my cycle is between 28 and 31 days. My husband and I had sex on the 12th February.
I woke up feeling really sick today, could this be an early pregnancy symptom or could it just be my imagination and wishful thinking?
I am guessing a pregnancy test would show negative at the moment even if I was pregnant as it is over 2 weeks until my next period.
Thank you!!

Typically you'll ovulate about 14 days after your period starts (give or take) and then it takes around 8-10 days for the fertilised embryo to implant. A couple of days after implantation, if you're pregnant, it could start to show up on a test.

The 9th would be very very early to conceive if your period started on the 2nd, and even if you did, today is way too early for the embryo to have implanted. It's highly unlikely that you're producing enough pregnancy hormones to get symptoms (ie feeling sick) this soon. The golden rule is, if you're pregnant enough for symptoms then you're pregnant enough for a positive test...

FWIW, I'm pregnant and the sickness kicked in at about 5-6 weeks, so wayyyy after I got my positive test.
