I'm about 3dpo today and I'm due to have a blood test next Wednesday (I'll be 8-9 dpo then) to check my iron levels as I'm having lots of mouth sores which may be related to an iron deficiency.

I didn't mention I'm TTC-ing (I regret it now!) but I'm just wondering if they would tell me if I'm pregnant, e.g. will they see I have hCG in my blood? Also are iron tablets safe to take when TTC-ing?

No

No it wouldnt as the doctor would have to check your hcg levels be checked which they wouldnt on a full blood work up without this request x

They won’t be testing for HCG so you won’t get a result so no it wouldn’t tell you if you are present. If you are on ferrous sulphate tablets I was given them for low iron when pregnant so they are safe.
