I have bought a Medela swing from ebay that had barely been used but have now read that you shouldn’t use a 2nd hand pump....anyone got any advice, should I use a 2nd hand pump or not?

I had a second hand pump and just got new bits that touched the milk.. so the flanges and valves, I think I kept their bottles as they were virtually new and sterilised them but you could get new too.. think it depends if it’s a closed or open system.. mine was a lanisoh pump that I got second hand.. my spectra that I got new was also a closed system.

I have the medela swing pump from my first and I just plan on buying replacement parts which you can buy direct from them there only cheap I would suggest doing that xx

No problem as long as you buy replacements for all the soft plastic parts - flanges, pumps, valves, tubes - and new bottles. Will probably cost about ÂŁ20 for those so much cheaper than a whole new pump.
