Positive for parvovirus

Hi guys,

Please help! I had my 16 week midwife appt today (although I'm 18 weeks) and my previous bloods came back with positive for parvovirus. The midwife tried to call someone but it went to answer machine and then it was just left.

I have been on the nhs website and it suggests I should be monitored more closely but I wasn't advised anything! Has anyone been in this situation before or has any advice?

Errr I don't know what they're playing at but they should have given you some instruction on what will happen next? I would be at DRs first thing and letting them know, also phone midwife in the morning and remind them that this needs to be dealt with x

I rang them this morning. She said she Wallis ring the microbiologist and call me back. Still waiting on the call.....

Positive with current virus or positive for antibodies? I had my bloods checked as was exposed at work so wanted to check if I'd had it already ( common to have already had it when working with kids)

Could you phone your GP and ask advice?
