SPD - Pregnancy Band Recommendations

I’ve been suffering with SPD for a little while, but today has been literally unbearable that I literally can’t stand for anymore than 5 minutes or I’m in agony. The only form of a relief I get is from lying on my side with a pillow between my legs/under my bump. I’m only 34 weeks pregnant tomorrow and can’t go on for another 6 weeks like this! Been suggested to get a pregnancy band - can anyone recommend any in particular? Also, if SPD becomes too bad can you opt for a sweep / c section? Thanks in advance :)

Just want to say I've been exactly the same today so understand what you're going through - it's so crap isn't it! Have had severe SPD since 20 weeks and I'm now 35 weeks. Like you can't sit up or stand for longer than 5 mins. Another 5 weeks seems so daunting. I did have a band but only found it useful when standing, when sitting it just digs in. Continuing to see a chiropractor but thinking my pelvis has just given up now. How are you occupying yourself? I'm going stir crazy! Haven't been able to leave the house since Sat x

@sgmp yeah literally can’t even sit up at the minute and by the end of the day trying to get comfortable to go to sleep is literally impossible as well as turning over in the night! This is my second week of maternity and I’ve been mostly in the house or visiting family, but yesterday I decided to go shopping for about 45 minutes and they said they think that 45 minutes has just totally wrecked me to the point I can barely even stand now 😓 having to get my partner to help me get out of the shower and dry and get dressed is so demoralising! I haven’t enjoyed pregnancy at all x

Hopefully if you've rested today you won't be in as much pain tomorrow. Have you spoken to your midwife about it? I've found the NHS really crap at dealing with it and they don't really seem to take it seriously. It's just brushed off as a pregnancy symptom and we're just meant to get on with it. But it can really affect you mentally - I know it has me. I'm at breaking point. Just praying as soon as baby is out the pain goes away. Like you said it's so demoralising going from being independent to relying on everyone else to do everything.

I got mine from a website called physio room, its the only maternity band they do so its easy to find. I find it so supportive. Would recommend. It hasnt been a magic answer to my back/pelvis issues but it is definitely providing support to my bump when i sit and stand.
I havent enjoyed this pregnancy one tiny bit. Not one day of it!! 30 weeks tomorrow

My midwife was an absolute cow about it ‘most people just go on Amazon and search baby belt’ yeah thanks for your help. A nice physio lady found this one for me.
I’ve been seeing an osteopath as well, £35 for 30 mins, I think that also helps
