Hello

I'm going to my brothers wedding in May to Spain and I'll be 32 weeks pregnant.
I am classed as low risk at the moment and when we booked flights I felt absolutely fine about going but since people have put doubt in my mind that I should be going.
Has anyone traveled around this time and been fine or did you avoid traveling at all?
Many thanks xxx

I don't see the issue to it, especially as you are low risk :) you will need to get a letter from your midwife anyway so theres not much of a better person to confirm you're good to go. They wouldn't let people fly otherwise!

I travelled to uk at 34. Required a letter from my doc, which required a full exam before she would sign me off fit to fly. Flight wasnt an issue but remember to get DVT stockings, I suffered from cramp after the flight and panicked it was a DVT and it was only then I read how much higher risk I was! Would never have gone without if i had read that first. Bupa do international travel insurance up to 36 weeks, most other places is 28 weeks.

Thank you ladies 😊 I will definitely get some socks I hadn't thought of that and I'll be letting my midwife know on my next visit. We are only there for 4 days but people put that little doubt in my mind.

Xx

I have booked flights to Greece returning in 32nd week. Friends have done the same and even later. I think play by ear and see how you are feeling.

I intend to travel to Spain from uk in weeks 32-33 (4 days) and mentioned it to my midwife who said as long as I don't have any complications she doesn't see an issue
