Had a MMC found at 12 weeks scan in June. I have minimal symptoms which could entirely be in my head. I'm worried sick and can't wait for today to be over. All excitement has been taken away from me. Any words of wisdom of success stories to stop this awful black cloud over me 😓

I had a MMC in 2018. I was petrified this time around that it was happening again. My symptoms seemed to vanish around 8 weeks (when I discovered the MMC last time) and I was at max anxiety.
So I ended up having an early scan, only to see a healthy little wriggler in my belly.

You can't know what's happening inside you. You just have to try to relax. Open up headspace, do some breathing exercises and think positive.

You're going to be seeing your baby.

I see in your other posts you had an early scan at 8 weeks, and I’m assuming you saw a heartbeat too! Seeing a baby okay at this gestation massively reduces the risk of a MC! you’ll be ok don’t worry!! Nerves are normal, I was so scared as well so I understand! Update is all when you have seen your little bean is okay Smile

Thank you @3rdchristmaslucky @Catlover10 I did have a scan at 8 weeks and all was ok, it doesn't do much to settle me though as I did last time too. 4 hours to go, the clock seems so slow. The house is gleaming, the washing basket empty, I'm pampered and preened beyond what I ever have been before just trying anything to pass the time. Who said pregnancy was a magical time hey 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sending you best wishes and hope you find a way to kill the time - my scan was fortuitously scheduled at the end of a half-day of work so I had no option but to distract myself with work and then rush to the scan!

I had the same OP. lost at 7 weeks then a mmc at 14 weeks (baby was 10) had 3 healthy scans previous, I've now got a healthy 9 month old daughter (I even bled with clots through her pregnancy) im sure all will be ok, try to breathe thinking of you it really does rob the excitement from you xx

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 13/02/2020 12:27

Try to keep your mind as busy as possible today, if you're at work get your head stuck in and do tasks you've been meaning to do for a while, or if you're at home have a deep clean with some music on. Nothing anyone will say will really be able to help - I was always so terrified when it came to scan day.
Thinking of you and hope the time goes quickly!
