12 week’s scan tomorrow and having the usual worry that all isn’t going to be ok etc despite seeing a heartbeat at an early scan. I have ZERO pregnancy symptoms so this doesn’t give any reassurance. This also might seem irrational but I’m so so worried and nervous about getting weighed tomo - I have put on a stone since Xmas just due to greed and a two week holiday but means my bmi is in the overweight section - will a big deal be made of this? Seeing a consultant as had emergency section for last birth and worried that they will embarrass me about weight gain( years of yo-yo dieting and not good body image) just need some reassurance please !thanks

I found every scan terrifying so sending you a handhold. I’ve never been weighed at a scan, only at my booking appointment.

They aren't going to weigh you, don't worry x

Sorry should have explained this is my booking appointment and scan all in one! First midwife appointment ,and I remember I was weighed last pregnancy and it was written on a posit and stuck to the front of my file! Didn’t like that and I wasn’t overweight then , silly really as I know in the scheme of things it’s not that important- thanks for the comments I appreciate the handhold!!

Good luck for your appointment and scan tomorrow, I am sure both will go well, i totally understand the scab nerves but it's so lovely to see baby once you know all is ok, so enjoy it!

I was also weighed at both my booking appointments and also before I had my 20wk scans (I hated it too!). According to my "bmi" (which I hate as a way of monitoring health) I also fell into the overweight category but i never had any comments made by the midwives nor was I monitored any closer because of it. I think if you are obese or morbidly so then they may pay more attention to your weight, but I'm sure you have nothing to worry about Smile x
