Sickness levels in pregnancy linked to boy / girl? And when did sickness peak?

Hi all. I'm nearly 12 weeks and my sickness has been so tough the last couple weeks but especially this week. It's very bad in afternoon and evening and I often spew. Earlier on it was just nausea not much spewing. Seems to be getting worse!
Wondering if others have felt this and also if you have now had your baby / know the sex, did anyone find it got worse around 10 weeks with a particular sex? I know at around 9/10 weeks the sex organs begin developing so I wondered if it was anything to do with this.
Have you been sicker with boys / girls?
And when did your sickness peak and then stop?
Thanks in advance! Xx

So will the my daughter I had no morning sickness I've been pregnant with 2 boys and both times had sickness from weeks 5-10!

Trahira · 12/02/2020 17:51

I've got 2 boys and a girl, and I got sicker every time I was pregnant. I was sickest with DS2, least sick with DS1 and in between for DD - so it was unrelated to sex in my case.

I was super sick with first pregnancy, and had a little boy. No sickness at all with this pregnancy, and it's another little boy Grin

assilem92 · 12/02/2020 17:57

I had my son and had zero sickness, I needed to eat little and often or else I did feel like I'd faint but nothing else

Lindor2828 · 12/02/2020 18:01

No difference for me in girl pregnancy and then boy pregnancy - sick both times!

MsChatterbox · 12/02/2020 19:25

I was very sick with boy and girl, peaked week 6/7 felt better with both about 14 weeks.

afternoontwee · 12/02/2020 20:03

Severe sickness all the way through - started at 6 weeks, got much much worse at 11 weeks, medicated at 17 weeks. After 23(?) weeks it calmed down to vomiting once every other day.

Everyone was telling me baby would be a girl, turned out to be a boy!

Peapod29 · 12/02/2020 20:06

Girl and boy. Sickness exactly the same.

NoParticularPattern · 12/02/2020 20:07

One of each, sickness and pregnancy exactly the same as each other. Nothing to tell between them at all.

JewelTheft · 12/02/2020 20:08

I have a bit and a girl, and same sickness levels with both. Weeks 8-12 probably the worst, eased off gradually after weeks 13/14.

JewelTheft · 12/02/2020 20:09

*boy and girl

Hotpinkangel19 · 12/02/2020 20:10

I've had 2 girls and 2 boys, sickness was really bad with the girls, more than the boys definitely.

Gorbie · 12/02/2020 20:13

First child was a boy, sickness - proper proper sick every morning without fail till about 9am then absolutely fine all day
2nd and 3rd both girls - sickness feeling all day even up until I went to sleep at night but only actually sick maybe 2/3 times with each

CheesecakeAddict · 12/02/2020 20:16

I lost 2 stone with sickness with my girl. I reckon it's more down to the person than the baby's gender

Mesmeri · 12/02/2020 20:22

4 boys. A bit queasy ( but never actually vomited) weeks 5 - 12 with 2 & 3. Not at all with 1 & 4. But I very very rarely vomit generally.

shirleyschmidt · 12/02/2020 20:27

Definitely sicker with a girl, it noticeably went up a notch at 11-12 weeks!

With my son it died right down at 11 weeks

Congrats on your pregnancy!

Levatrice · 12/02/2020 20:34

Girl: sickness from 5-17 weeks peaked massively weeks 9&10 and was horrific.

Boy: nausea from 6-15 weeks only sick a few times around week 9/10

TimeMarchesOnNeverEnding · 12/02/2020 20:49

Exactly the same for my boy and girl.

stophuggingme · 12/02/2020 20:52

Three children
DS1 horrific sickness as in actual vomiting from early on with about a five week break over the entire pregnancy.
DD - felt like I was about to vomit most days for about the first five months of the pregnancy but rarely sick
DS2 - very early morning sickness but then nothing just awful heartburn

IslayBrigid · 13/02/2020 16:52

Thanks all, really interesting... sounds like it's probably more to do with the mother than the sex of the baby...

I just hope this sickness eases up soon!

75% of hyperemesis sufferers apparently have girls.

I didn't!
