Haemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst

Feeling very relieved after an emergency scan today at 6w showed that baby is fine and heartbeat could be visualised. However I was told that my severe abdominal and back pain is being caused by a haemorrhagic corpus luteum cyst. I've been booked in for a follow up scan in a week's time, but I wondered if anyone has any experience with this? If so, when did your pain go away and did your pregnancy proceed without complications?

Hello, I had this! Man it was painful.

Initially started to get better after 5-6 days, but then got worse again because it ruptured. All together horribly painful for about 3 weeks. Then the hyperemesis started 🙄

It was a relief to know it was nothing dangerous, but was very unpleasant. I found hot water bottles and baths helped a lot. Also start laxatives now, do NOT get constipated! Hope you feel better soon

Oh also I’m 16+2 now and all fine with baby 👍

@Nelbert19 thanks for your reply, glad it's not just me being a baby about the pain! Can I ask, did they put you on progesterone supplements? I haven't been, but posts on loads of US forums talk about people being given them?
