Has anyone recently had an ECV and was it successful?

Our baby is just above the smallest growth line and I would love a natural birth but baby is still breech at 36 +4.

We have a growth scan tomorrow with a potential ECV and I'm so anxious as Iv never known anyone close to me to have a ECV.

Also I am still working would it advisable to go maternity if I have the ECV?

Obviously I'm going to ask all this tomorrow just want to go in prepared and what to expect.

Where is the placenta? If it’s anterior then it’s too risky to have one.

If you are going to have any time off as sick following the ECV, then your employer will make you start your maternity leave as you are within four weeks of your due date. It all depends what your working days etc are for resting afterwards.

Make sure your bags are packed if you do decide to go ahead because you could end up going straight in for an emergency section (unlikely, but best to be prepared). Also ask your specific consultant their success rate as that’s the important bit rather than anything else.

Will you be induced early for growth issues? Or can you go to 40 wks?
The reason I ask is because my ds turned from breech the cephalic after 36 weeks. I had another scan at 39 wks and he was head down.
