Baby clothes for summer baby

Hi everyone - first time Mum here with a silly question, no doubt! 😊

For a baby due in late July, do I still need to get baby grow/all in ones with long sleeves and the feet covered? Or would short sleeves and legs be better in the hot weather? I’m very concerned about regulating their temperature so unsure what to buy!

What else would you consider essentials for a summer newborn? How many of each item do you think I’ll need?

I just want to get it right 😊 xx

I would say yes you still need them. First, because babies get colder than older children/adults so tend to wear more. Second, you never know what the weather might be like (unless you live in the tropics - but in that case you're probably in cool A/C) so you'll want to be prepared. In any case by August end weather is unlikely to be hot.

Expect to change baby's clothes 2-3 times a day. So quantities depend on how often you do the laundry (most likely daily...). I'd recommend at least 3 days worth of clothes so 7-10 of each.
